Business Management Track

Three EDHEC Research Centres: Leadership & Corporate Governance Research Centre, LegalEDHEC, Marketing Interact have organised a series of seven monthly conferences dedicated to MIM and MSc students on Lille Campus. Through its Research Centres, EDHEC publishes, evaluates, develops or assesses new techniques or practices in various fields such as Marketing, Finance, Legal, Leadership or Economy.

These conferences are unique opportunities to discover the latest researches done by our Research Centres and to openly debate economic, social issues them between professors, students and industry players.  
 
The first conference entitled "Veut-on encore des dirigeants à la tête des entreprises ? " (Do we still want leaders at the head of businesses?) took place on November 17th.  Valérie Petit, Director of the EDHEC Leadership & Corporate Governance Research Centre, highlighted the crucial importance of exemplary conduct in business leaders. She invited students to develop their leadership on the basis of authenticity, in her opinion, the starting point for a more ethical and humane form of business management.

Stéphane Thirion, CEO of Apple France, also underlined the importance of self-awareness and personal development for managers, and the capacity to take a long hard look at themselves and their decisions. He added that they must focus primarily on developing their strengths in order to make their mark.
